emerging into heart
social worker • therapist
I'm passionate about supporting adults and children at an individual and community level. My particular focus on relational psychotherapy, intra-group healing, and community-driven social work. I am particularly dedicated to serving both adults and children, with mental health issues and overlapping chronic health conditions. Currently, I practice as a psychotherapist.
How I practice
I hold all parts of you tenderly, empathetically, and with care. My therapeutic aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply, and to develop genuine compassion for your unique human expression. Together, we can honor, clarify, and map-out your vast mental and emotional landscape.
I work from a relational lens that honors the therapeutic alliance and focuses on emotional attunement. I understand the many ways that early attachment patterns influence our present circumstances. I also believe in the healing capacity of storytelling, and listen intently to the narratives you tell about yourself. Taking at face-value your descriptions of your inner world, I believe that you are your own best guide and advocate.
My clients
I particularly enjoy working with adults who are highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or who have prior diagnoses of mental health conditions. I enjoy working with people who find it difficult to make sense of their subjective, lived experiences— and those who have a harder time staying afloat in today's world.
My clients often have overlapping chronic health and mental health conditions, which require a delicate balance of care and attention.
My framework
My therapeutic approach is emotion-focused and grounded in humanistic, relational psychotherapy. I draw from both depth psychology and neuroscience, integrating awareness of the mind-body connection.
I believe in an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy that is broad and expansive. I incorporate narrative and expressive-arts techniques, as well as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Contextual-Behavioral approaches.
Ultimately, my aim is to support clients make sense of their multifaceted selves and complex parts, while deepening into the parts of themselves that ring most true and clear.
